Welcome, friends, to our Class Schedule for 2012! The Virginia Center for Reiki Training offers classes for all levels – from Beginner Student to Advanced Reiki Practitioner and Teacher. Please take some time to browse through the variety and different levels of classes offered in 2012.

The Center mission is to provide Reiki Training (1) for those who desire Reiki as a tool for healing themselves, family and friends; (2) for those who want to pursue Reiki as a profession, earning certification as a Reiki Practitioner; and (3) for those who desire to teach Reiki to others.

The Center philosophy maintains that a sustainable, healthy community occurs “one person at a time” as each strives for a state of physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Located in Bedford County, Virginia, the Center - offering multi-tiered Reiki classes - is an integral part of the community. It is exciting to see those who complete our programs take new knowledge, skill and service back into the community, to their families and neighborhoods. Some volunteer their services to help those in need in the community (nursing home and oncology patients, abused adults and children); others open their own practices; still others become Reiki Teachers - all support and promote a healthy community.

Reiki is a gentle, safe and effective loving tool for self-treatment and treatment of others. Reiki is a complementary therapy to Western medicine, Chinese medicine, Chiropractic, counseling and other therapies. Some of the benefits of incorporating Reiki into your health care program include learning how to relax, how to release stress and anxiety, thus calming upset feelings; Reiki assists in lowering blood pressure; Reiki diminishes side effects from chemotherapy; Reiki decreases the time it takes to heal from surgery; Reiki assists in creating well-being of the mind, body and spirit.

At the Virginia Center for Reiki Training, our intention is to provide well-researched knowledge in our Reiki training. The Center promotes integration of Reiki into communities as a complementary tool to one's own health program, thereby promoting healthy communities, bringing enrichment and balance.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012,

Lynn McBride Boggess, Director
