If you are coming from Northern Virginia on I-81, take Exit 150A (Daleville/Lynchburg Exit) for US Alternate 220 (or 220A). Follow signs for Lynchburg as you merge onto this road.
At the traffic light [intersection of US Alternate 220/220A and Route 11], continue on US Alternate 220 [220A] and you are only five miles from US 460. At the "T" intersection of US ALternate 220 [220A] and US 460, turn LEFT on US 460-E toward Bedford. You will also see a sign advertising the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. Continue with directions "From US 460/US Alternate 220 [220A] below.
From the South on I-81:
If coming from the south on I-81 North, continue north to the Daleville/Lynchburg exit. You will pass 581 and Hollins Road exits prior to the Daleville/Lynchburg exit. Take Exit 150A [Daleville/Lynchburg Exit] for US Alternate 220 [220A] and follow US Alternate 220 South toward Lynchburg. At the traffic light [intersection of US Alternate 220/220A and Route 11], continue on US Alternate 220 [220A], and you are only five miles from US 460. At the "T" intersection of US Alternate 220 [220A] and US 460, turn LEFT on US 460-E toward Bedford. You will see also see a sign advertising the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. If you are staying in Daleville:
Turn LEFT as you leave the Econo Lodge parking lot, or RIGHT as you leave the Howard Johnson parking lot. You will be on US Alternate 220 [220A]. Follow US Alternate 220 [220A] South toward Lynchburg. At the traffic light [intersection of US Alternate 220/220A and Route 11], continue on US Alternate 220 [220A], and you are only five miles from US 460. At the "T" intersection of US Alternate 220 [220A] and US 460, turn LEFT on US 460-E toward Bedford. You will see a sign advertising the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. From US 460/US Alternate 220 [220A]:
Continue on US 460-E for 7.5 miles to the traffic light in Blue Ridge [see Food Lion on your left]. You are now 8 miles from Lynn's house. Continue on US 460-E to "Villamont" [small green sign on the right]. Landmarks prior to Villamont include: Blue Ridge Minute Market and Burker Shakes and Cream on your left, and Blue Ridge Rock Quarry office on your right. Take the first RIGHT after the Villamont sign. You will come to a 4-way intersection. Turn RIGHT on to VIllamont Road. Cross the railroad tracks, continue past Depot Road, and you will see a white 1 1/2-story Cape Cod on your right. Lynn's driveway starts directly on the other side of this yard. Turn RIGHT on the gravel driveway and you will see a gate and sign showing Lynn's street address [3236]. Proceed up the driveway and around four curves to the welcoming red house with blue trim and blue garage.
Directions from Bedford:
Take US 460 West toward Roanoke. Lynn's house is 15 miles from the Bedford/460 junction. Continue on US 460-W to "Villamont" [small green sign on the right]. Landmarks prior to Villamontinclude: Montvale Elementary School on your left, and The Fabric Barn on your left. When you see the sign for Villamont (3 miles past Montvale), move to the LEFT LANE of US 460-W and proceed with caution to make a left turn across US 460. Cross US 460 on to Villamont Road. Cross the railroad tracks, continue past Depot Road, and you will see a white 1 1/2 story Cape Cod on your right. Lynn's gravel driveway starts directly on the other side of this yard. Turn RIGHT on the gravel driveway and you will see a gate and sign showing Lynn's street address [3236]. Proceed up to the driveway and around four curves to the welcoming red house and blue garage.
